“O”

All the world's a stage, and all the men and women merely players…"O" pays tribute to the magic of theatre, where anything is possible and where the drama of life plays itself out before an audiences eyes.

What’s It All About?
The name "O", phonetically speaking, is the French word for water "eau" and is performed in, on and above water, Cirque du Soleil's first venture into aquatic theatre. Telling the story of theatre through the ages, begins with Join Eugen, a timeless theatre guardian and Guifà, his keen, trusting visitor, as they set off on a 90 minute voyage to a place where dreams become a reality.

The Stunts
Written and directed by the famous Franco Dragone, who created 10 of Cirque du Soleil's previous productions, "O" has reached new heights in performance art on the Strip. World-class trapeze artists perform dives and specialized aerial acrobatics and a fire sequence provides plenty of heat and colour to the ubiquitous element of water. Featuring a team of synchronized swimmers, the show brings an entirely original approach to the theatre with the whole performance being narrated by the international tunes of a 10-piece orchestra.

Viewed by over 2 million spectators, the show is a spectacular feat of imagination and engineering and the 1.5 million-gallon, 25 feet deep pool measures 150 by 100 feet.
