Blue Man Group: Live at Luxor
Weirdly wonderful…Blue Man Group's new Vegas show titled "Blue Man Group - Live at Luxor" contains an amalgam of new lively material. Music plays a very large role in this Vegas production, more so than in the other city shows. A number of new and exciting musical instruments are used in the show, including Back Pack Tubulums, Airpoles and a three-story high Drum Wall.
History
Old friends Phil Stanton, Matt Goldman and Chris Wink established Blue Man Group in 1987 in New York City. The show opened Off-Broadway in 1991 with shows covering Boston and Chicago in the mid to late 90’s. All the three shows played to sold-out audiences. The founders Matt, Phil and Chris then decided to head west to the city of Las Vegas to put the show at a new level, which it did, to heights beyond even their belief!
Today
The wacky show features a number of short episodes where the mysterious Blue Men engage in bizarre antics. One of which involves a Blue Man catching balls in his mouth, until full, and then spurting them out into a statue! New elements have been added to the show, with the Blue Man character bringing a humongous neon-like landscape to life, and changing it into a primal, exciting and unexpected ritual.
An innovative, inspiration to the Las Vegas Strip, a show that must be seen to be admired.
