Spanish Trail Country Club
Accommodating its members in grand style, the Spanish Country Club is one of the oldest private clubs in town.
The Course
Undulating hills, tree lined fairways, over 120 bunkers, fifteen lakes with streams and waterfalls complete the scenic course. The club has three nine-hole courses, The Canyon Course, Lakes Course and Sunrise Course, which are played in three eighteen-hole combinations. Designed to challenge the beginner as well as the more skilled golfer, the course is about 7100 yards long with an average slope rating of around 135.
Renovation
More than a million cubic yards of earth was moved to shape this 27-hole championship course, with a major $2.3 million renovation project being started in 2004 to improve turf quality at the club. When complete, all 27 greens and 27 fairways, the three practice greens and the driving range fairway will be replaced.
