Silverstone Golf Club
The jewel of the Nile…the 27-hole Silverstone Golf Club has one of the best tees, manicured fairways and bent-grass greens in Las Vegas.
The Course
In July 2001, the club opened its three scenic, nine-hole courses, Mountain, Desert and Valley tracks, all providing verdant greens, rolling undulations and spectacular mountain views. With four sets of tee boxes per hole, this course is challenging to both novice and expert players alike. The Mountain Course has the longest par 5 in Nevada with hole No. 3 playing 653 yards from the back tees and 530 yards from the forward tees. To add to the holes’ difficulty is the amount of water that comes into play about 150 yards from the green.
An Extra Hole
Silverstone has a 28th hole to decide any wagers that were left unsettled after 18 holes. This money-deciding hole is found just outside the clubhouse and is about 90 yards over water.
