Sat in the middle of the sweltering desert are two, top-rate challenging greens for golfers to get their hands on. The two beautifully designed courses, the Lakes and the Desert course, provide a main golfing destination, attracting all levels of players.
The Lakes Course
Designed in 1997, the par 71 Lakes Course, measuring 6,945 yards from the black tees, 6,008 yards from the white tees and 4,842 yards from the forward green tees, with its rolling fairways, bent grass greens and water features are picturesque as well as challenging. With undulating greens and water throughout the course, golfers will find the play tough going. Look out for the risqué tenth hole named ‘Temptation’, a short 347-yard hole, any golfers leaving this drive short will find their ball ending up in a pool of water!
The Desert Course
The Desert Course, designed later in 1999, is a par 72 that measures 7,131 yards from the black tees, 6,085 yards from the white and 5,397 yards from the forward tees. The opening hole on this course has a tight fairway with bunkers left and right. The tenth hole is quite deceiving, appearing to be downhill but after recovering the drive, the green looks straight uphill…!
