Paiute Resort
At the foot of the scenic Spring Mountains, amidst the untouched splendour of the Southern Nevada desert, is the peaceful but popular Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort.
Three top-of-the-range golf courses are at the resort:
Snow Mountain
Snuggled amidst wild fauna and a haven of colourful, natural boundaries, which separate each hole, is the number one public access course of Snow Mountain. It was the first master planned multi-course developed on local US land. The course has wide rye grass fairways and a mixture of tee lengths, angles and many doglegs with hidden sand traps.
Sun Mountain
Framed by desert trees, Sun Mountain course at the Las Vegas Paiute Resort is nestled amongst wild flowers and an oasis of colourful borders. The course features trademark Dye railroad tie bunkers, waste areas, pot bunkers, natural terrain, water hazards and extensive mounding. There is less water on this course, and the fairway bunkers should not be a problem but watch out at the 14th hole!
Wolf Course
Within a natural, desert environment is the Wolf Course golfing experience containing plenty of challenges. The course opened in November 2001 and signifies the hardest golfing course in the area. The Wolf Course plays to over 7,000 yards and is renown for the ruthless undulations throughout, with dramatic elevation changes. Water comes into play on several holes in the shape of two lakes.
