With extensive elevation changes, natural canyons, combined with broad fairways and huge greens, this is one heck of a challenging course for all skill levels. Located at the foothills of Black Mountain in Henderson, the Dragon Ridge Country Club provides one of the most scenic views in the Vegas valley. With its bentgrass greens and neatly manicured fairways, the golfing is a pleasure and a challenge to all levels of players.
The Golfing Holes
The course offers great golf holes, but the par-4 seventh provides the most picturesque view. One of the signature holes, this 441-yard par 4 is beautiful but troublesome, a perfect tee shot is a must with the second shot played, to an uplifted green, that is fronted by a bunker and protected in the back by a creek that leads to a waterfall on the right side of the green.
The ninth hole at DragonRidge will challenge even the most skilled of players. The par 4 is a 444-yard, dogleg right and the bunkered hole usually plays into the wind with a good drive leaving a long-iron or fairway wood into a two-tiered green, the green being one of the most difficult on the course to putt. The back nine offers more of the same with undulating fairways and amazing views.
