Desert Inn Country Club

Standing out from the crowd…the Desert Inn is the last hotel and casino on the Strip to retain its main acreage for golf, instead of casino area. Proudly devoted to its golfing, the Desert Inn Golf Club is the only course in the world to host the PGA Tour, LPGA Tour, and the Senior PGA Tour.

What Does It Look Like?
With its flatness and well manicured palm and native trees, the highly rated Lawrence Hughes-designed course, with its challenging holes containing sand traps and water hazards, that border seven of the 18 holes on the 7,193-yard, par 72 course, offer golfers plenty of fun.

Computer Aid
The club has added new Global Positioning Computers in their carts, which helps golfers with their distances and lowers their scores. Each golf cart comes standard with the ProLink electronic information system. Golfers will feel like they have their own personal caddie for the day! Each hole is graphically depicted on a screen, which gives distances to greens, bunkers, and water and even keeps track of how long a drive each player had. It also has "Pro Tips" for each hole giving advise on whether to lay-up, drive hard, go left or right and how the green is contoured.

The Golfing Holes
The first hole shares a 24,000 square foot green, the second and third hole are relatively short, yet deceptively difficult, the fourth has undulating green ringed with bunkers and the fifth is the longest on the course, at 587 yards. The seventh is the most beautiful with a lake covering the entire left side of the green and a small waterfall in the background. The ninth hole is a beautiful and long hole, lined with water on the left that separates it from the 18th hole. The 18th hole is a great one to finish on, as golfers are playing around a lake on the right, with sand on their left.
