TPC in the Canyons
Walking around the manicured fairways and soft greens of the Tournament Player's Club, golfers will get a feel for the vast surrounding desert terrain with its rugged rocks and vegetation and the golf course itself.
The Course
Many undulations and forced carries create a good challenge for golfers at the 7,063-yard public course situated amidst the imposing casinos of the Strip and the serene western mountains.
Changing areas are found on all the golfing holes, except the par-3s. The first hole lets players "Ease-in" to their round, a par-4 of 349 yards that has one of the course's 85 strategically-placed bunkers on the right of the fairway and the hole is readily accessible from the tee.
The rear side is popular for its gaping desert gorge, 30-feet deep in places and a common wildlife habitat, and appears on most of the holes. The No. 13 hole, a 381-yard par-4, gives golfers a chance to decide how much of the "Death Valley" gulch to play over on the fairway that curves right. The canyon features in most of the remaining holes, with water making it's only real appearance on the 18th hole. The 18th is a downhill par-4 measuring 439 yards with the "Oasis" name coming from the lake surrounding the left side of the green that's surrounded by bunkers.
