The Big Shot at the Stratosphere

Ever wanted to feel what its like to be in a rocket at take off? At four G’s of force, The Big Shot is a space ride of another kind with a height of 921 feet and a speed of 45 miles per hour.

About the Ride
Located on level 12A, at The Stratosphere, The Big Shot, created by S&S Sports Power, the largest bungee jumping company in the world, seats 16 people, four in a row, around a square 228-foot mast.

Riding the Big Shot

Watching other passengers while queuing will be quite entertaining…everyone fumbling with their seatbelts, scrambling to get buckled in. After getting seated, a shoulder harness needs to be pulled down - a standard-issue seat belt connecting the harness to the seat. When things look secure, there's a low roar, the sound of an enormous air compressor building pressure. The passenger rig floats up off the loading platform and hovers gently while a countdown begins… While shooting 160 feet into the air at a force of 4 G's, a rush of adrenaline takes over whilst screaming like a wild coyote! By the time the 1,081 foot peak is reached there’ll be barely a heartbeat to contemplate the view! Next is the freefall to end all freefalls... and halfway down you’re boosted back up. Another freefall. Once more, you’re shoved back up again. Finally, you’ll float back down onto the loading platform.

Pointers
